There will be plenty of early 2000s nostalgia at movie theaters next year. Disney has set release dates for Freakier Friday and the live-action Lilo & Stitch.
Lilo & Stitch hits theaters May 23, 2025, which pits it against Paramount’s Mission: Impossible 8.
Freakier Friday will bow on Aug. 8, 2025. Warner Bros. already has a movie on that date, a Leonardo DiCaprio starrer directed by Paul Thomas Andreson.
Freakier Friday reunites Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, stars of the 2003 body-swap feature Freaky Friday. The original film centered on Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan), a mother-daughter pair who switch bodies for a day, and along the way learn the challenges that each are facing.
