Dolly Parton Just Shared Her Family's Sweet Potato Casserole Recipe

When we heard that Dolly Parton and her youngest sister, Rachel Parton George, were coming out with a cookbook, we couldn’t wait to get our hands on it. The book, Good Lookin’ Cookin’, includes special glimpses into their revered family and more than 80 recipes, which are all divided up by months. So in October, for example, you get Witches’ Brew Cider, mac and cheese, a strawberry-flavored, brain-shaped gelatin that they lovingly call Brainiac Jell-O, and more. Personally, we were most excited to check out the November section. We figured these Tennessee natives know how to do Thanksgiving. And we weren’t wrong. The chapter starts with a one-dish spinach and artichoke dip (how cute are they: the first recipe in each chapter is called the “Opening Act”) and ends on a make-ahead pumpkin pie (the “Encore,” of course). In between, there’s the turkey, gravy, cornbread dressing, and this fantastic sweet potato casserole.
