The Environment Agency has issued a series of warnings regarding flooding in the town.
It follows torrential downpours throughout the most part of yesterday, Wednesday, as well as overnight, with a yellow weather warning for heavy rain previously being issued.
At present, there are two red flood warnings in force. These are more serious than a flood alert and state ‘flooding is expected – act now’.
They cover areas surrounding Dallam Brook, particularly near Dallam playing fields and a section of Europa Boulevard in Gemini.
The warnings particularly mention Europa Boulevard, Gemini Industrial Park, Fairbourne Close, Chepstow Close, Colwyn Close, Higham Avenue, Tavlin Avenue, Hodgkinson Avenue, Marshall Avenue, Hawleys Lane and Mullen Close.
