Varanasi: Sampurnanand Sanskrit University (SSU) of Varanasi has declared to extend the scholarships announced by Uttar Pradesh state cabinet for Sanskrit students to students pursuing studies at the university under ‘Sanskrit student scheme’. The UP govt recently announced the provision of scholarships to all students enrolled in Sanskrit schools and colleges across the state.SSU registrar Rakesh Kumar expressed gratitude and welcomed the decision, attributing it to the visionary initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He said that the scholarships would be disbursed to students studying at the university under the Sanskrit Student Scheme, in accordance with the directives issued by the UP govt. Under this scheme, shastri students (undergraduates) will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 200, amounting to an annual sum of Rs 2,400.
