Principal's dire message ahead of TV special detailing Sydney teacher's murder

Students of St Andrew’s Cathedral School have been warned against watching a 60 Minutes special detailing the gruesome murder of their beloved teacher Lilie James.The documentary is believed to be so distressing that the principal of the esteemed Sydney private school where the murder took place in October last year has issued an urgent warning to parents to discourage their children from watching it.”We are aware that 60 Minutes is focusing on this story on Sunday evening,” head of the school, Julie McGonigle, wrote in an email to parents on Thursday.”It is our strong advice that you keep your children from watching it.”Ms James’s parents are speaking for the first time to Channel Nine journalist Tara Brown to unravel the moments leading up to the 21-year-old water polo coach’s death.In the promo released by 60 Minutes, Ms James’ mother Peta said: “If you knew what he did that night, I think you’d understand why we can’t forgive what he did.”Her father Jamie told Brown:…
