Starting XI: We’re predicting one change for Sunderland against Oxford today!

Date:

Wednesday was a slog, and it will have taken a lot out of the players, particularly as we were backing up from another tough game at Hull just three days before.
Trai Hume’s managed his four yellows well so far, and after Wednesday we’ve got Jobe and Chris Rigg on four yellow cards too – and ideally, you wouldn’t lose them for the same game. That, plus the physical strain, are things to watch when it comes to Regis’s team selection today. So will we see any changes? Just the one I reckon.

Goalkeeper: Anthony Patterson
Patterson was excellent on Wednesday – I thought it was his best game of the season. He commanded the box well and made a couple of great saves. His kicking was a bit Tim Carter-esque on occasion, but we can forgive him that. He did appear to pick up a knock at the end though (I don’t think the second time he went down it was ‘tactical’) so that’s another to keep an eye…
