Andrew Vorhees, Michael Pierce Both Ruled Out vs. Bills

The Ravens are without two starters in the trenches, as left guard Andrew Vorhees and Michael Pierce are inactive for “Sunday Night Football” against the Buffalo Bills.

Both players were doubtful to play. Vorhees didn’t practice all week because of an ankle injury. Pierce was downgraded on the injury report Saturday after suffering a shoulder injury.

With Vorhees out, the Ravens could move veteran Patrick Mekari over to fill the gap and give rookie second-round pick Roger Rosengarten the start at right tackle. Or they could insert Ben Cleveland or Josh Jones at left guard. Guard Sala Aumavae-Laulu is also active for the first time this season.

Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum, who was questionable to play because of a knee issue, will suit up. That should help stabilize the interior, though it’s facing a tough test against the Bills’ defensive line.
