Ashneer Grover, BharatPe settle dispute; cofounder ceases being a shareholder at fintech startup

Bharatpe and its founder Ashneer Grover have settled their two-year long legal dispute, according to a statement issued by the New Delhi-based fintech firm. “As part of the settlement, Mr Grover will not be associated with BharatPe in any capacity nor be a part of the shareholding of the company,” the company said.Grover, one of the founders of the company, will not be part of the shareholding in BharatPe anymore and the shares he owns will be transferred to a family trust. Some part of his shares will be transferred to the Resilient Growth Trust for the benefit of the company and his remaining shares will be managed by his family trust, the company added.— Ashneer_Grover (@Ashneer_Grover) According to data from Tracxn as of the end of 2023, Peak XV owned 18.7%, Coatue owned 13% and Ribbit Capital owned 10.7% in BharatPe.
