Sean Strickland may be next in line for a shot at the UFC middleweight title, but the former champion is not happy about where it could take place.
As of now, Strickland has the inside track to be next up for current champion Dricus du Plessis, who just defended his UFC middleweight title with a submission win over Israel Adesanya at UFC 305 this past August. Unless the upcoming middleweight bout between Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev art UFC 308 produces otherworldly results, Strickland should get the nod next.

Unfortunately, Strickland may have to travel outside of the United States to get his hands on du Plessis. That’s because DDP’s coach recently told Submission Radio that his next title defense is scheduled sometime for February next year in Sydney, Australia. No opponent was named, but “Stillknocks” will be traveling Down Under in early 2025 for another main event title fight.
