DE Laiatu Latu’s status unknown vs. Bears

INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts could have a compromised pass rush this week against Caleb Williams and the Bears.Indianapolis will be without All-Pro defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, as he’s headed to injured reserve for at least four games. But the status of its first-round edge rusher is also up in the air.Laiatu Latu returned to practice on Friday after missing the previous two days with a hip injury he suffered in Sunday’s 16-10 loss to the Packers, when he wasn’t able to return to the game. Colts coach Shane Steichen wouldn’t say one way or another whether Latu could play on Sunday against the Bears, indicating that he’ll be listed as questionable when the game status report comes out on Friday afternoon.If Latu were to miss, the Colts would be down their top three pass rushers entering the season.
