Derek Jeter trolls David Ortiz on 2003 ALCS Game 7

Date:

Putting Derek Jeter and David Ortiz on set together was bold, but does create some great back and forth.
Ahead of the winner-take-all Game 5 of the NLDS between the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers, the two once again brought up the historic rivalry between their respective teams. This time about the 2003 ALCS, Game 7.

Jeter brought up the fact that during the postseason, you have to get creative. In that case, New York Yankees pitcher Mike Mussina — who had only started to that point of his career — came in as a reliever.
The Yankees went on to win the series over the Boston Red Sox, but Jeter kept the talk going to remind Big Papi of that during the Fox pregame show.

David Ortiz after Derek Jeter after Jeter showed clips of the Yankees win over the Red Sox in 2003.
Ortiz: I thought we were friends right now, bro.
Jeter: We are. Last year it was all 2004. You had a documentary on 2004.
Ortiz: That was a welcome.pic.twitter.com/u5QgtNDjL1
