Montrealers are in for more traffic woes this weekend as the Montreal Marathon and construction on the Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge are expected to bring about major road closures. On Saturday and Sunday, runners (and walkers) will be sweating it out during the 32nd edition of the Marathon Beneva de Montréal. Races 10 kilometres and shorter will be run Saturday while the full and half marathons will take place Sunday. That day, both races will begin at 7:45 a.m. at Espace 67 on Île Sainte-Hélène. The path will bring runners to La Fontaine Park and up Saint-Joseph Boulevard where the groups will split up. Half-marathoners will head east toward the finish line at Maisonneuve Park while people running the full marathon will take a left and head north on Saint-Laurent Boulevard before looping back around again. The full (purple) and half marathons (yellow) will begin Sunday morning at Espace 67 on Île Sainte-Hélène and end at Maisonneuve Park.
