Georgia suspends Colbie Young after WR arrested on misdemeanor charges of battery, assault on an unborn child

Georgia wide receiver Colbie Young has been suspended indefinitely after he was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with battery and assault on an unborn child, both misdemeanor charges. Young was booked by the Athens-Clarke County Police Department at 4:18 a.m. ET. He was later released on a $2,500 bond for the assault charge. “I got to speak to him this morning, he’s been suspended indefinitely until this legal matter is resolved,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said on the SEC Coaches Teleconference. “We can’t really comment any further on the specifics of it, but had a good meeting with him this morning.
