High-flying Hawk Hickey re-signs

The Illawarra Hawks’ strong base continues to build, with the club re-signing emerging guard Will ‘Davo’ Hickey. 
Hickey has re-signed with the Hawks on a three-year deal and has been a standout in the club’s 5-1 start.
The 25-year-old has found his footing in Illawarra, scoring his first extended contract of his career after signing on last season as a full-roster player. The year before he was brought into the club as a Development Player.  
“Knowing the club respects and sees what I’ve been doing is a massive thing for me. I’m just really excited to be here for the next couple of years, to have that security, and start setting some things up in my own life and career,” Hickey said. 
“It’s the first extended contract in my career, so it feels like all that hard work, all that sacrifice over all those years has been worth it.”
