Janey Godley receiving 'end-of-life' care after cancer spreads

Scottish comedian Janey Godley has confirmed she is receiving “end-of-life” care.The comedian, from Glasgow, cancelled her autumn tour earlier this month after her doctors advised her to stop working.In a video shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, the 63-year-old confirmed she was receiving palliative care and would be going into a hospice for the foreseeable future.Godley said the “devastating news” was difficult to speak about after stating that she could no longer go through chemotherapy.“The chemo ran out of options, and I couldn’t take anymore of it,” she said.“The cancer has spread, so it looks like this will be getting to near the end of it, and it’s really difficult to speak about this and say it to people.”In her video, she thanked the NHS, Marie Curie as well as medical staff who have helped her so far.“It is devastating news, to know that I’m facing end of life but we all come to an end some time,” she said.The comedian also thanked fans for…
