Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Tuesday that her government will release funds for 11 lakh houses by the first week of December for those people, who did not get houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).Alleging Centre’s deprivation, Banerjee, today claimed that the Centre had not released funds for the PMAY scheme for the last three years. “The Centre has deprived us of PMAY funds for the last three years. We will release funds for 11 lakh houses by the first week of December. The survey for the 11 lakh houses will commence as soon as the rains are over,” Banerjee said.”Out of 11 lakh houses, I am giving six lakhs from the Minority Department to the destitute women. First installment will be given in December this year.There are 50 lakh mud houses till date.
