Massive IAF air show set to dazzle Chennai's Marina beach on October 6

The sky over Chennai’s Marina beach will come to life on October 6 with Rafale, Sukhoi, Mikhoyan set to showcase an awe-inspiring display of aerial prowess. The event will be held to commemorate the 92nd anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF). Air Commodore Rathish Kumar, in charge of the Tambaram Air Force Station, spoke exclusively to India Today about hosting the major event in Chennai for the first time.”Until 2021, this event was held in Delhi between Palam and Hindon. In 2022, it was moved to Chandigarh, and in 2023 to Prayagraj. Now, we’re proud to say that the Indian Air Force has chosen Chennai and Tambaram to host this prestigious event,” he said.On October 6, from 11 am to 1.30 pm, a grand flypast will take place over Marina Beach, with an expected audience of 15 lakh people.
