Catalog episodes of the former Fox drama “Prison Break,” now streaming on Hulu and Netflix, continued their run at No. 1 among all content streamed across U.S. household televisions for a fourth consecutive week with 1.188 billion viewing minutes across 90 episodes through Sept. 1.
Like many acquired titles, the show’s deep library has helped drive its streak of billion-minute weeks, but a 17% decline in minutes consumed this week could suggest that viewership is beginning to taper off, according to Nielsen.
The week saw the first signs of a post-Paris Olympics streaming impact, and an end-of-summer shift in the streaming content landscape with an uptick in the number of originals in the top 10.
