PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry govt has directed Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) to remove a candidate who joined the MBBS course for the academic year 2024-25 by claiming dual nativity and securing the seat under the Jipmer Puducherry internal quota.In a communication to the Jipmer dean, director (health) cum nodal officer (medical education) Dr S Sevvel stated that a candidate, D Guru Prasaath, claimed an MBBS seat both in Jipmer (Puducherry internal quota seats) during the fresh allotment in round 3 and also a govt quota seat in Tamil Nadu during rounds 1 and 2.The Puducherry Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services verified the NEET UG counselling seats allotment 2024 round 3 released by the MCC against the state govt quota list of Tamil Nadu.
