REPORT: Lions WR Jameson Williams facing 2-game suspension

According to a report from ESPN, Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams is facing a two-game suspension for a violation of the league’s performance enhancing substances (PES) policy.
Per the NFL PES policy, a player is subject to a two-game suspension if they have a positive test result for a “Stimulant, Diuretic or Masking Agent.”
This is the second time in as many years that Williams is facing a suspension. Last year, the young receiver was initially suspended six games for violating the league’s gambling policy. It was later reduced to four games.
It’s a blow to Detroit’s high-octane offense and yet another setback to Williams’ career. Not only did he miss four games due to a suspension last year, but he missed nearly his entire rookie season as he rehabbed from a torn ACL suffered in the National Championship game prior to the Lions drafting him 12th overall in 2022.
