On Nov. 18, 2014, Mats Steen died from Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The 25-year-old Norwegian video gamer had been diagnosed with the disease as a toddler, started using a wheelchair at age 10, and spent the latter stages of his life barely able to move his fingers.
