Tigers move up start time for Tuesday’s game vs. Tampa Bay

Detroit — The Tigers’ final push for a playoff spot is getting a head start.With inclement weather in the forecast for Tuesday night, the Tigers announced they are moving the game up to 1:10 p.m. The series opener against the Tampa Bay Rays was supposed to start at 6:40 p.m.“The decision was made in an effort to identify the best opportunity to play the game,” the Tigers said in a statement making the announcement Monday night.Fans who had purchased tickets for Tuesday’s night game can use the same tickets for the new game time. If fans can’t attend with the game being moved to the afternoon, tickets can be exchanged for any of the other five remaining games in the regular season, subject to availability, the Tigers said.The Tigers have three games with the Rays, Tuesday through Thursday, followed by three with the Chicago White Sox, Friday through Sunday.
