Beverley Knight tour to be ‘world’s first’ with Auracast dates available

Six dates on Beverley Knight’s ‘Born to Perform’ tour will have Bluetooth’s Auracast available, in what’s being described as “the world’s first live music tour” to offer the technology.

Unlike standard pairing, Auracast allows for an “unlimited” number of compatible devices – including hearing aids, headphones and earbuds – to connect to one audio broadcast.

The assistive listening technology has already been installed at the National Theatre and Sydney Opera House, and trialled at Bristol Temple Meads station and Frankfurt Airport.

It’s estimated that over a million venues will offer “inclusive listening experiences” with Auracast by 2029.

The “Shoulda Woulda Coulda” singer and theatre star – whose mother is a cochlear implant user – shared the news in a post to her Instagram account on Monday, in which she wrote that she is “excited to see the possibilities of this new technology”.

She said: “Over the years my mum lost the ability to hear, and now wears a cochlear implant. Following along to conversations in everyday life and listening to gigs has proved to be a challenge.

“I spoke to my Sound engineer Adam Waller who did some thinking, and I am proud to say that along with his company Open Door Audio I am able to present a series of shows on my Born To Perform tour which are suitable for a brand new technology called Auracast.

“It allows folks with hearing devices such as cochlear implants to experience a gig with a clarity that was until now unimaginable.”

The first Auracast-enabled show of the tour will take place on Tuesday in Bath, with the technology also available for performances in Bristol (19 June), London (21 June), Southend-on-Sea (23 June), Cardiff (27 June) and Wolverhampton (30 June).

Open Door Audio added: “Open Door Audio is proud to partner with Beverley Knight’s Born to Perform tour to become the world’s first live music tour to offer Auracast broadcast audio at selected venues.”

Fans attending the six Auracast-enabled venues are invited to register their interest in the technology via a Google form, with those going to dates where Auracast is not yet available also encouraged to submit a response.

“If people register their interest at other venues, we’ll do our very best to extend availability across additional dates on the tour,” the form reads.

Wolves transfer news: Major Bastien Meupiyou update as European giant ‘make proposal’ for defender – Sports Mole

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly in line to receive a major windfall through growing interest in Bastien Meupiyou, specifically from Borussia Dortmund. In August 2024, Wolves spent approximately £4.2m to sign the then-French teenager from Nantes on a long-term contract. However, less than a year later, the centre-back departed for newly-promoted Primeira Liga club Alverca without making a single first-team appearance for the Premier League outfit.

That transfer has transformed Meupiyou’s career trajectory, the 20-year-old making 30 appearances for Alverca to help guide them to a surprise 11th-placed finish in Portugal’s top fight. As a result, there was talk of Wolves either activating an alleged buy-back clause or waiting to see what offers arrived for the former France Under-18 international due to their 50% sell-on clause.© Iconsport / Picture AllianceDortmund make big-money offer for ex-Wolves starletAccording to journalist Sebastiao Sousa-Pinto, Wolves do not possess a buy-back clause for Meupiyou, as has been previously reported.Nevertheless, Borussia Dortmund have put forward a proposal worth €12m (£10.37m) plus €5m (4.32m) in add-ons.The same report emphasises that Meupiyou is “very likely” to leave Alverca in the near future, subsequently putting Wolves in a position where they can expect a substantial boost in income.

Theoretically, Wolves are in line to generate an immediate £5.18m, which is a profit on what they originally paid for Meupiyou. With Meupiyou only having two years left on his contract at Alverca and the potential to make several additions to the first-team squad, the assumption is that the Portuguese side will not play hardball over a sale.© ImagoAnother win for Fosun InternationalOwners Fosun International have justifiably received criticism for the players that have been signed for Wolves in recent years. At the same time, though, they deserve more credit for money recouped through player sales, such as with Max Kilman, Matheus Nunes, Pedro Neto and deals such as this one.The issue has more-often-than-not been how they reinvest the money that they receive, but that could be about to change under different faces as they prepare for a season in the Championship.

Sam Johnstone: Man United considering signing Wolves star – Man United News And Transfer News | The Peoples Person

    4

Michael Carrick has a significant war chest at his disposal to strengthen the Manchester United squad after his side’s qualification for the Champions League.
Much has been written about INEOS’s desire to transform United’s midfield with at least two new signings, including a marquee name.
However, the club’s recruitment team are also keen not to miss out on potential market opportunities to strengthen different areas of the squad.

    Manchester United eyeing Sam Johnstone
According to a report from journalist Alan Nixon, Manchester United are looking at a deal to sign goalkeeper Sam Johnstone from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves are set for a rebuild of their own following relegation to the Championship.
Johnstone, 33, is likely to be one of the many departures at Molineux, having made just 12 league appearances last season. He joined the Midlands club from Crystal Palace in a £10 million switch in 2024.

United are reportedly showing interest in bringing back Johnstone to Old Trafford. The 6’4″ shot-stopper graduated from United’s academy before permanently leaving the club in 2018.
It remains unclear how much Wolves would demand for Johnstone. However, given he has just two years left on his contract, the Red Devils should be able to land him for a reasonable fee.

Manchester United to tweak goalkeeping department
Senne Lammens remains United’s undisputed number one. Meanwhile, the Mancunians have also handed veteran Tom Heaton a one-year extension to remain as the club’s third-choice goalkeeper.
As such, Johnstone is certainly being eyed as the back-up to Lammens. However, currently that role is occupied by Altay Bayindir.
Bayindir is attracting serious interest from clubs in Turkey. Once his exit is finalised, United may be able to make a move for Johnstone.

Andre Onana has also returned to United upon the expiration of his loan at Trabzonspor. However, the Cameroonian has no future at Carrington, with everyone at the club keen to offload him.

  • Tottenham legend says what fans already knew about Spurs transfer strategy

Tottenham legend says what fans already knew about Spurs transfer strategy

Tottenham Hotspur have already brought in two high profile free agents to bolster their defense this summer in Liverpool icon Andrew Robertson and Bournemouth breakout star Marcos Senesi, who both figure to get significant minutes, if not start outright, in the upcoming 2025/26 Premier League season.Neither Senesi nor Robertson, especially, were remotely the best available players in their positions, but they have, at least at one point in their careers, been among the best in the Premier League, and, most importantly for Roberto De Zerbi and Spurs, bring experience and leadership to a club that nearly got themselves relegated last season.De Zerbi is known for being a young coach who likes players who are as young and exciting as he is, but in order to survive, he leaned on veterans like Conor Gallagher, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Joao Palhinha to scrape by the relegation battle.Tottenham want to win nowTottenham are prioritizing proven Premier League players, and the club’s legendary center back Toby Alderweireld definitely sees it that way when analyzing the club’s transfer policy so far in the summer 2026 transfer window. The Belgian international pointed out to Football.London’s Alasdair Gold, “They both know the Premier League. That’s good, because I think Spurs now need stability. They need to know the players can perform every week, week in, week out. They perform on a good level. Of course, a transfer to a new club, it’s always a bit different, but they know the Premier League and that’s very important. Next season, it’s impossible that we go back to this [awful] period. So I think it’s understanding they are looking for players who are proven in the Premier League. That’s something they should do. They should have a little bit more security in that.”Jan Paul van Hecke is only 25 years old, but the Brighton star has been a quality Premier League starter for a few years now. Marcos Senesi actually hasn’t been touted for as long, but he is nearly 30 years of age now and was a borderline Premier League Team of the Season center back in the 2025/26 season.Tottenham Hotspur are getting two known commodities at center back who have competed at a high level on successful teams before, and that seems to be what Spurs are going for this summer. Instead of prioritizing only young players with future star upside, Spurs want guys who can help them win now.Add us as a preferred source on GoogleFollow

  • Wolves and Watford chase £8.5m attacker after 14 goals in 2026

Wolves and Watford chase £8.5m attacker after 14 goals in 2026

Both Watford and Wolverhampton Wanderers are preparing for a demanding 2026/27 Championship campaign, albeit from very different starting points in terms of their expectations. It’s fair to say that Watford have been heading in the wrong direction for several years now despite possessing a number of exciting players, particularly in attacking areas. The likes of Othmane Maamma, Imran Louza, Nestory Irankunda, Kwadwo Baah, and Giorgi Chakvetadze all provide reasons for optimism. However, the club’s persistent managerial churn and inability to build continuity have prevented them from making meaningful progress up the table and 15th, 14th, and 16th have been their last three league finishes. As a result, they have drifted further away from promotion contention rather than moving closer to a return to the Premier League. That leaves prospective new boss Alessio Dionisi with a sizeable task on his hands. The Italian will do well to reverse Watford’s fortunes in what appears to be a particularly competitive Championship season, with several clubs harbouring realistic promotion ambitions.
Wolves and Watford eye Fluminese striker John Kennedy

    Action Images

Among the clubs with promotion ambitions is Wolves, who are looking to bounce back at the first time of asking following relegation from the Premier League under Rob Edwards. They will need additions this summer to ensure they can do that. Also, given both clubs are likely to target some similar profiles of young and high-upside players, it would not be a surprise to see Watford and Wolves competing for some of the same transfer targets this summer. One of those has since been outlined, with Watford and Wolves both said to be keeping a close eye on Fluminense striker John Kennedy. Reports from Brazil indicate the two English clubs have made enquiries about a possible move in the summer transfer window.

What do you make of this transfer link? Comment below!

Fluminense are said to be open to a sale, but only if an offer arrives above €10 million (£8.5 million) for the 24-year-old. However, both Udinese and Cagliari have joined the Championship duo in contacting Fluminense, according to journalist Joao Van Boysen. He is in the final year of his contract but could be in demand after 35 appearances for the Brazilian giants where he scored 14 goals and notched a further two assists, becoming one of their most effective attacking players. Kennedy is a man for the big occasion after he scored the extra-time winner for Fluminense in the 2023 Copa Libertadores final, which was a goal that secured the biggest trophy in the club’s recent history.
The best use of Watford’s and Wolves’ resources might be to use £8.5 million elsewhere

    Action Images

Kennedy’s height, or lack of it, would not necessarily be a deal-breaker in the modern Championship, but it does raise questions about how each club would utilise him. At around 5’8″, Kennedy might offer mobility and intensity rather than aerial dominance.

For Wolves, the fit is slightly less obvious because they already possess a smaller, instinctive goalscorer in Adam Armstrong. Unless Rob Edwards sees Kennedy as a wide forward or second striker, there is a risk of duplication rather than complementarity. Wolves may instead prioritise a centre-forward capable of occupying centre-backs and providing a focal point.

At Watford, the argument is stronger. Pairing Kennedy with towering striker Luca Kjerrumgaard could create a classic big-man/little-man partnership, with the Brazilian feeding off knockdowns and space created by his strike partner via second balls. The question is whether that is the most effective use of resources in 2026. Most successful sides now prioritise fluid front threes or with goals from off of the wings, rather than rigid strike pairings. While Kennedy and Kjerrumgaard could work, Watford may ultimately extract more value elsewhere for £8.5 million or thereabouts.
