Steven Coulson, 32, began assaulting the girl after getting into bed with her in the early hours of January 8, 2024, in Cambridge.
Despite her asking him to stop, he continued touching her.
When she tried to get out of bed, Coulson pulled her back and raped her.
Coulson handed himself in at Parkside Police Station two days later but denied raping the victim during police interviews.

Detective Sergeant Molly Halksworth said: “Coulson is a dangerous man who took advantage of the victim so I’m glad he’s been brought to justice.
“I would also like to pay tribute to the victim’s bravery in coming forward and supporting us with a prosecution.”
On August 6 at Cambridge Crown Court, Coulson, of Newton Close, Cottenham, South Cambridgeshire, was found guilty of rape and assault by penetration of a female aged 13 or over.
He was sentenced to nine years and nine months in prison.
In addition to the jail term, Coulson was given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and a restraining order.
He was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
